Cathy Ford
Cathy talks about her experience moving and the important part the Jack Vasel Memorial Fund played in making it a reality.

“Mark and I have both been on disability for the last several months. While that’s given us a lot of time to play games, it does mean that we’ve been eating into our savings and money has been very tight at a time when we absolutely HAD to move. We could no longer afford our old place and needed to live within our suddenly diminished means. I want to send a special thank you out to Tom Vasel and the Jack Vasel Memorial Fund for helping us to make this move a reality.”

“If you listen to the Dice Tower podcast at all, you’ve heard them talk about the Jack Vasel Memorial Fund. They say that if you’re a member of the gaming community and your game is upside down, they can help. Well, I’m here to tell you that they mean what they say. Mark and I were really stressing about how to pay for this move. We couldn’t stay where we were and we couldn’t afford to move. So we applied for help and The Jack Vasel Memorial Fund came through for us. We were able to get enough money in a grant from them to help us move. We had to apply and prove our need, but they came through. If you are in any position to donate to that fund now or in the future, I’m here to tell you it’s a worthwhile organization and is going to be at the top of our charitable donations once we get back on our feet.”
