  1. So excited to listen to your podcast! A few ladies and myself had an all female Scouting podcast several years ago and it was a blast. (Usually… Heheh.)

The adverts at Kublacon were great! (Clearly, since that’s how I found the show!)

    G’luck and have fun.

    1. Hi Liberty!
Thanks so much for your comment! Glad you found us via our fliers at KublaCon. We plan to use things like that in the future too. We appreciate the feedback.

      Have a Great Day!

  2. I’m looking forward to hearing more of this podcast! The roundtable part was great, it was great hearing you bounce off each other and getting that energy into the podcast, and I’m always glad to hear other women in podcasts – board gaming especially is so male-dominated at just about all levels, I’m glad to have this podcast to point people to.

The solo sections – not so great. I don’t know if Cathy recorded them alone, or just with everyone quiet, but they really didn’t have a lot of energy; they felt like someone reading out a script in an English class. It might help to do them duo, and it might help to cut them down and leave some of the information in the text, or to move more of it to the back so you lead with the more energetic round-table stuff. SU&SD//Cool Ghosts are great at front-loading their podcasts with plenty of energy; I’m sure at least some of you listen to those already!

The mixing wasn’t the best either – the same sting kinda drifted in and out a few times, often going quite loud over a voice (though I’ll admit I find it particularly tricky to hear people over music) and without seeming to add much. Do you need it? Do you need it so many times? Could you play off it better? Could it be shorter? Have a look at the use of sound in, say, The Park Bench – it punctuates the episode, but not often, and without overstaying its welcome. Obviously your format is different and you’ll have different needs, but it’s worth looking at.

I hope I’m not overstepping my bounds here; I loved the podcast, and I hope it keeps getting better! I’m going to go ahead and listen to the next 2 right away 🙂

    1. Well, there you go! I listen to episode #2 and it’s right into the roundtable. I’ll hold my tongue a little longer :p

      1. Hi Chris!

Thanks for your feedback! We are working on improving our show with each episode. We hope that you can see a difference from episode to episode. This is the first time that any of us have tried to do something like this. I hope that you can hang in there with us as we learn this new medium both on and off the air.

Thanks again for the great feedback! Keep it coming!
